ISLE OF WIGHT DAY TRIP

We will travel to Portsmouth and Southsea, to join the bus link to Hovertravel for the 10.30 flight to Ryde. We will then take a short walk to Ryde Esplanade station  Participants are then free to explore the Island Line system at will, riding on the new Class 484 (former D-stock) trains. Return to St John’s Road station by 14.50, where our Southern Vectis bus will be waiting to take the party to Haven Street station (IOWSR). The Steam Railway Catering Department will serve a late lunch, which is included in the tour price.  After lunch, the Railway shop will be open. We then have our tour of Train Story. We leave to connect with the 18.27 Hovertravel service from Ryde. Our bus will take us directly to the Ryde Hovertravel Terminal. We join our return train to Waterloo at Portsmouth Harbour station, with an expected arrival time back at Waterloo of 20.45.
