London Bus Museum Summer Festival

Enjoy extensive bus displays, heritage bus trips, music and children’s entertainment. This event is not just for transport enthusiasts, but fun for all the family as well.

Heritage Train Journeys: The Piccadilly Medley

As part of LTM's TfL25 and Railway 200 celebrations they have a special medley of journey options. Come along for a journey on the beautiful 1938 heritage train and choose between three different wonderful journeys on the Underground

Railway 200 - Euston Station

A special exhibition train will be touring the country this year and next, as part of the national celebrations of the 200th anniversary of the modern railway (Railway200)

13th July:

Buckinghamshire Railway Centre - SHOWBUS

We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting SHOWBUS 2025. This is the UK’s biggest annual Bus Rally, which is returning to Quainton! There will be the opportunity for visitors to ride on some of the exhibits around the local countryside.

Railway 200 - Waterloo Station

A special exhibition train will be touring the country this year and next, as part of the national celebrations of the 200th anniversary of the modern railway (Railway200)

23rd August:

100 Years of Swanley Bus Garage.

Swanley Garage, code SJ [for Swanley Junction], opened by the East Surrey Traction Co. in 1925, is one of only three London Transport Country Area garages still in use for its original purpose.

5th - 7th September:

Heritage train journeys: Metropolitan line special

Hop on our beautifully restored Art Deco 1938 Tube train on special trips along parts of the Metropolitan line. As part of our Railway 200 celebrations, come and immerse yourself in London’s transport story.

Bluebelle Railway - Diesel Gala

This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a fantastic selection of heritage diesel locomotives running an intensive timetable across our picturesque railway.

Epping Ongar Railway - Autumn Bus Running Day

Our traditional Winter bus running event will see a selection of vintage buses from our friends at the London Bus Company and other visiting vehicles, operating a number of special journeys, recreating local routes of yesteryear.

Our annual steam gala will feature locomotives from the home fleet, alongside some interesting giants of the Southern region!
