THE NIGHT RIVIERA

Due to many requests, we will be offering a repeat of one of our most interesting tours.  On Monday and Tuesday 14th/15th and 21st/22nd January 2019, we will be departing for Penzance on First Great Western’s “Night Riviera”.  You will have the option of First Solo Berth Cabins or Twin Berth Standard Class Cabins and a choice of tours.

On 14th/15th January you will travel with Graham, who is the senior tour driver for Mounts Bay Coaches, on an itinerary he has planned covering areas off the beaten track and entitled ‘Cornwall in Winter’.  Friends may bring a friend who is not a member with them on this trip.

On 21st/22nd January you will travel with Graham for a visit to the ‘Eden Project’, where you will be given a guided tour by their senior guide; after the tour you will be able to explore at will.

The following part of the tour is the same on both dates:-

                  21:30        Check in at the First Class Lounge on Platform 1, Paddington Station, where complimentary                                                       refreshments will be available.

22:30        Board the 'Night Rivera' for your journey to Penzance. You will be directed by your Sleeping Car 'Host' to your 1st Class single berth or to your double berth compartment. The ‘Night Cap’ Bar/Buffet on the train is open all night. A light breakfast will be served to you in your berth before arrival. 

08:00        Arrival at Penzance.  Transfer by luxury coach for the short journey along the front to the 4* Queens Hotel.  Two bedrooms will be available, where you can freshen up.

09:00        A Cornish Breakfast will be served in the Ballroom, where you can leave any bags for the day.

10:30        Depart from the Hotel by coach on your tour.

17:45        Arrive back at Queens Hotel where the two rooms will once again be available.  Relax with a drink in the Ballroom Bar.

19:00        A 3-course Dinner will be served, followed by a tea and coffee service.  A cash bar will be available.

21:00        Coach departs for Penzance Station.

21:15        Board the 'Night Rivera', where your 'Host' will direct you to your berth.

21:45        Train Departs, ‘Night Cap’ bar and buffet open.

05:23        Train Arrives Paddington.  A light breakfast will be served in your berth. You must vacate the Night Rivera by 07:00.

Accommodation in a First Class Single Compartment:   £199:00 per person

Accommodation in a Twin-Berth Compartment:                        £169:00 per person

There will be a collection for gratuities for the Night Riviera crew and Graham our coach driver.
