Our tour associate ATTC invites Friends on a very special visit to the new Zero2 Bus Museum situated near Braintree, where Peter Newman has brought together all aspects of his massive collection of heritage passenger vehicles and equipment; and what an amazing display it is!

 

ATTC’s Mike Kay explains:

“Peter invited me to look around the site as it was being prepared at the beginning of October.  I can assure you it will 'Knock your socks off".

“We know this will be a very popular trip. The visit, for a group of 50 maximum, will be on Wednesday 15 April 2026 will allow Friends to see the completed site with all exhibits in situ. Participation in the tour will contribute to the development of the Museum.”

Meeting point:  11.00 at Braintree station Bus Bay

What is included:

  • Return trip on a different heritage vehicle each way
  • Conducted Tour of Museum with Peter Newman and his team.
  • The Heritage Bus Exhibition has over 40 vehicles some which visitors will be able to enter.
  • Roughacre Micro Brewery visit

Museum Displays include:

  • Destination Boards/Blinds/Computerisation
  • Fare Collection
  • Maintenance Base
  • Restoration Bays
  • One of the largest collections of model buses in the world, with over 10,000 models.

There will also be a chance to visit the Museum shop.

Visitors will partake of a hamburger and chips lunch, with a drink included. Please state any dietary requirements when booking. ATTC will try to accommodate these, in conjunction with the catering company. 

At the conclusion of the Zero2 Museum arrangements, participants will depart for an afternoon visit to the Roughacre Micro Brewery, for sampling and the opportunity to purchase the brewery’s products.

The brewery visit will conclude at 16.30 for transfer back to Braintree station, arriving at around 17.45 traffic willing.


The cost for this exceptional tour is £33.50.

Please note: Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from the point of departure.
