Chris Nix will take us on a tour of two of London's hidden stations: Down Street and the deep level platforms at Clapham South. Chris will explain why these were built and closed (or never used for their intended purpose); and the role they played in the Second World War.
Please note, this will be a straight repeat of the talk Chris gave to the Friends' meeting at Covent Garden on 25th January 2016.
The repeat is on Friday 3rd June in the lecture theatre at the Museum Depot at Acton, starting at 14.00. If you wish to come you will need to book, by “registering interest” in this event by clicking on the button below.
The Friends’ sales stall will be open from 1300.
