The London Transport Museum Friends and Friends of the National Railway Museum South of England Group have arranged a joint meeting to be held at 14:00 on Wednesday 1st October at the Abbey Centre in London. Members of LTMf and FNRM are warmly invited to attend.
Chris Green will offer an insider's view on the creation of Network SouthEast in 1986 and how it worked in close partnership with London Transport to create a joined-up transport system for London. The joint initiatives stretched from the hugely successful One Day Travelcard to major projects such as the Jubilee Line Extension; Thameslink and Crossrail. This is seen by many as a Golden Age of the Railway.
