The LGOC – a few Minutes of History

The LGOC – a few Minutes of History

The TfL Corporate Archive is undertaking a long-term project to make the Board Minutes of the London Passenger Transport Board and predecessor road, rail and tram operators fully accessible online. Paul London is in a team transcribing and indexing the minutes of the London General Omnibus Company as part of this project, eventually covering the whole of the LGOC’s existence from 1855 to 1933.

The Friends, together with the Omnibus Society, have contributed £15,000 to have the whole of the original LGOC minutes professionally scanned; Paul will be explaining the background to the overall project, and reporting progress on the LGOC books and some of the finds made so far.

Join Paul in the Holden Room at the Acton Depot on Thursday 25th September at 14:00.
