Are You Being Served?: a Career Retrospective

Are You Being Served?: a Career Retrospective

The journey starts in 1963, when Barry joined LT as a clerk in the Operational Research office. It moves on to handling correspondence and telephone calls in the Public Relations office (no emails or social media then!); and continues to Barry's appointment to the Management Training Scheme, which included spell as a bus conductor at Reigate Country Bus garage (See photo).

More senior roles then followed in the Commercial Office and back in PR/Customer Services (which included planning events to celebrate LT's 50th anniversary in 1983 and ongoing responsibility for LT's Travel Information Service and the Lost Property Office). Barry retired as Head of Customer Services in 2000.

Join Barry as he recalls events from his 37-year LT career in the Cubic Theatre at the London Transport Museum on Monday 11th December at 18:15.
