Unfulfilled promise - the abortive Northern line extensions

The 1930s New Works Programme saw ambitious plans to extend the Northern Line to Alexandra Palace, Bushey and other places in the “Northern Heights”.  Work started before the war but much of what was planned never came to fruition, aside from the High Barnet and Mill Hill East lines.

Join Richard in the Holden Room at the Acton Depot on Thursday 21st March at 14:00.
