Friends grants 2025/26
At their meeting in April, the Friends’ Trustees agreed grants to the following LTM curatorial projects in 2025/6:
- Q Stock – ongoing support for the restoration of three cars to operational condition
- Survey of condition of pre-Second World War road vehicles, to assess restoration priorities/costs
- Vehicle interpretation (new digital display screen for external appearances)
- Feltham Tram 355 (digital recording of vehicle interior)
- Restoration of Tower Wagon 89Q (Radiator Header Tank)
- RM2 engine investigation for repair
- RT4712 seats re-upholstery
- Met carriage 400 seat restoration
- Standard Stock structural survey and preparation work for non-operational display restoration of one car
- Heritage bus operations
- Signalling equipment display
- 1967 tube stock engineering display
- Project Curator (heritage skills project)

Additionally, funding was approved for these non-curatorial projects:
- Acton Access Learning Officer
- Part funding of role to deliver Inspire Engineering Careers and Green Skills Hackathon
Excluding Q-stock (on which expenditure is budgeted at £292,000, with funding release according to restoration progress), these grants total roundly £130,000.
