RM 1 ON ROUTE 38

London Transport Museum's prototype Routemaster RM1 operated in passenger service on the route 38 heritage bus running day on Saturday 16th September, crewed by LTM Friends' volunteers. The bus operated six journeys between Victoria, Bloomsbury, Hackney and Clapton Pond. 356 passengers enjoyed a ride.

The bus is seen here arriving at Victoria station on a journey from Hackney.

It is proposed to operate a London Transport Museum bus on route 24 on 5th November as part of an event to mark the passing of 30 years since the closure of Chalk Farm garage.
