FRIENDS SUPPORT HERITAGE TRAIN RUNS

Friends gave active support to the Museum's 1938 tube stock heritage train runs over the three day Bank Holiday period (29th April to 1st May)

Friends' volunteers acted as car stewards on the 12 return runs between Acton Town and Uxbridge. Commenting on the customer feedback, LTM Heritage Trains Manager, Graham Neil, said:

"The weekend heritage event went off really well and I just wanted to pass on a big, big thank you to all the volunteer car stewards. They did a fantastic job in a cheerful, helpful and engaging way and got many, many expressions of thanks from the passengers."

The Friends' sales stall was set up in the ticket hall of Acton Town station and did good business from the sale of transport memorabilia. Sales receipts totalled £4,417.

We also recruited 22 new members.
