All the four preserved B-type buses were displayed during the day on the Piazza at Covent Garden. This was a unique and possibly never to be repeated event, in which Friends' volunteers assisted the Museum with the transport logistics and event stewarding.
The four B-types are:
B 43 "Ole Bill" owned by the Imperial War Museum and on display at Covent Garden for the past four years
B 340 owned by London Transport Museum
B 1609 in private ownership
B 2737 Battle Bus, in World War One khaki livery and owned by London Transport Museum
The gathering was timed to co-incide with the move of Battle Bus into the London Transport Museum to replace "Ole Bill".
