DART RETURNS TO ROUTE 31

DART RETURNS TO ROUTE 31

London Transport Museum's Gold Arrow Dennis Dart DW15 returned to former route 31 on Sunday 8th October as part of the Central London Heritage Bus Running Day organised by the London Bus Museum. The bus operated trips in passenger service between Camden Town, Westbourne Park and Chelsea, World's End. The photo by Damon Cross shows the bus at Maida Vale.

There was a very positive reaction to the Dart, both from bus enthusiasts and from local people who remembered such buses in service. Staff from Westbourne Park garage also shared in the nostalgia.

DW15 will be making another public appearance at the London Bus Museum's autumn event on Sunday 22nd October. This is themed around service support vehicles, so London Transport Museums' tower wagon 89Q and tram tractor 351X will also be there.
