ECW EVENT AT EATM

The event  marked the 30th anniversary of the closure of the ECW bus body building plant at nearby Lowestoft.

The main picture shows a line up of Eastern Coach Works vehicles built for London Transport during the 1950s: CRL4, RFW14 and London Transport Museum vehicle GS64, which attended with the financial support of the Friends.

The picture below shows Fordson tractor 351X, also from the London Transport Museum’s collection. This vehicle spent its working life at the tram works at Charlton in South London; here it re-enacts its role by pushing London tramcar 1858.
