GETTING READY FOR 2016

The London Transport Museum Friends are starting to prepare buses in the Museum's heritage fleet for their first outings in 2016.

The picture shows Country Bus ST 821, after cleaning in readiness for a planned trip from London to Brighton in the HCVS commercial vehicle run on Sunday 1st May.

Other planned heriatge bus outings in April and May are:

Sunday 10th April - RM2 running in service from East Grinstead in support of the Country Bus Rallies Running Day

Sunday 17th April - RM2 on display at the London Bus Museum Spring Gathering at Brooklands. The event theme is 50 years since the closure of the Weymann and Harrington body building businesses; so we hope to take a Weymann-bodied bus as well.

Saturday/Sunday 23rd/24th April - LTM Depot Open Weekend. RM1 will be in passenger-carrying service as usual, together with a vehicle from the London Bus Company. Weather permitting, B340, K424 and NS1995 will be displayed outside, to commemorate their 105th, 95th and 90th birthdays respectively.

Sunday 1st May HCVS London-Brighton Run - ST821 accompanied by STL469.
