TWO Qs AT BROOKLANDS

TWO Qs AT BROOKLANDS

Q55 was seen out on the road for the first time in 15 years when it successfully completed the round trip from the London Transport Musuem at Acton to Brooklands to attend the London Bus Museum's autumn event on 18th October.   As an 80th birthday celebration, the bus was given pride of place with LBM's own Q83.   Both vehicles would have been identical when new but, while Q55 remained a Country Area bus, Q83 was one of 27 of the class temporarily upgraded to Green Line status before the war.   It is currently presented in red Central bus livery to which some of the class were so treated. Both buses are seen here at Brooklands.
