BATTLE BUS WINS AWARDS AT BRIGHTON

Friends' volunteers drove two of the Museum's heritage vehicles to Brighton on 3rd May, in the annual London to Brighton Historic Commercial Vehicle Society run. The two vehicles were the B-type Battle Bus B2737 (with accompanying WW1 troops) and the second prototype Routemaster RM2 in green Country Bus livery.

There was a lot of interest along the way, with the usual varied crowd of enthusiasts and general public keen to have a closer look at the Museum's immaculately restorerd vehicles. Battle Bus picked up two awards: best in class for a military vehicle, as well as best AEC badged vehicle.
