EAST ANGLIA TRANSPORT MUSEUM

VISIT TO EAST ANGLIA TRANSPORT MUSEUM

Saturday 9th July 2016

London Transport Museum and its Friends are very pleased to be supporting the East Anglia Transport Museum on their forthcoming 'London Weekend'. The Friends have sponsored  taking three Museum vehicles to the event:  K424; 351x, the tram tractor; and LT 1076. Vehicles from The Tramway Village at Crich and the London Bus Museum have also been invited to attend.

Many Friends have asked if we can arrange a tour around this special event. Your wish is our command!

Date: Saturday 9th July 2016

Departure Point: Epsom Coaches Depot, Roy Richmond Way, Epsom at 07:30

OR Newbury Park (Central Line) Bus Station at 09:00

There should be plenty of parking space if you wish to leave your car at Newbury Park. Please indicate on the form below if you intend to join the coach at Epsom or Newbury Park. The vehicle will be an Epsom Coaches 6 wheel Setra executive coach, with toilet and galley. Free morning tea/coffee and ginger nut biscuits will be served en route. The journey time to Beccles Bus Station is approximately two hours.

At Beccles we will transfer to a heritage bus for the short journey to Carlton Colville. There will be guide from the Museum on board who will tell us about everything they have planned, and how the EATM was set up.

Your entry ticket will allow you the freedom of rides on the trams, buses, trolleybuses and the Narrow Gauge Railway. To ensure we follow in the theme of a busman's day out, we have recreated the London Transport Canteen extravaganza of: Ham, 2 Eggs and Chips; roll and butter, ice cream; and tea/coffee - 'Griffin Brand' of course. This meal will be served in two sittings in the Museum’s canteen.

You will have plenty of time to enjoy the event and visit the extensive sales stands. Departure will be at 16:00 and we aim to arrive back at Newbury Park at 18:30.

The cost is £29 per person. This includes return coach transfer to and from Carlton Colville; morning tea/coffee and biscuits; entry to the East Anglia Transport Museum; a two-course lunch with tea/coffee; and the services of our Tour Manager - Mike Kay - and Trevor, our adopted Coach Driver, from Epsom throughout the day.

If you would like to join this tour, please print off and complete the booking form below and send it with your cheque to the address given. Further details are available our Tour Manager, Mike Kay at mkay@aircontractors.com

You can bring a friend with you on this tour as we have plenty of seats, but we recommend you book early - bookings close on 4th June. Tickets will be sent out on 20th June.

You will only be contacted before this date if your booking was not successful.
