FINCHLEY WAR MEMORIALS

The Friends have jointly funded the restoration of two memorials to London transport staff who lost their lives in World War One. The memorials were originally sited in Hendon bus garage and Finchley tram depot (later bus garage). In addition to the Friends, funding was provided by The Railway Heritage Trust, The Finchley Society and The Barnet War Memorials Association. The restoration project was managed by local resident Doug Rose and the restoration work was carried out by Robertson Memorials.
