Visit To The Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway

We have arranged a private tour of the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway on 7^th May 2019, to include refreshments with a sandwich and cake lunch. Here are the details.

 

The day trip will commence at Princes Risborough station at 11.45, where our party will be split into two groups. We will enjoy: two trips on the train; a visit to the signal box; tours of the workshops; a visit the Education and Restoration Centre; and the opportunity to walk the line. Participants will need to make sure they all have stout footwear, no high heels and a high viz jacket or vest, preferably orange. This will be a private tour, as the railway is normally closed on Tuesdays.

 

The cost for this trip (exclusive of travel to and from London) will be £30 each, with no concessions. The trip is suitable for members with restricted mobility, who can make their own judgement on the day about any parts of the tour which may give them difficulty

 

This tour is expected to be popular and sell out quickly. Please book by the end of March 2019.  

 

Participants should catch the 10.43 Chiltern Railways train from Marylebone, to arrive at Princes Risborough at 11.25.  We will return to London on the 16.20 train, arriving at Marylebone at 17.12. Please purchase your own tickets for the journey to and from Marylebone (or elsewhere) and double-check check times for your travel on the day.
