The Team

The Management Team are responsible for the day to day running of the Friends.

Graham Miller

Graham took over the role of Chief Executive on 1st January 2023.
As a Trustee, Graham is also responsible for identifying Museum projects which are to be funded each year by the Friends; and for monitoring ongoing progress.

David Martin

Treasurer, responsible for Friends’ budgeting and financial matters. Prepares quarterly budget reports, annual accounts and liaises with auditors.

Tony Dewick

Tony is a Trustee and Charity Secretary. He is secretary to the Trustee Board and Operating Committee and also handles general enquiries about the Friends on matters not covered by anyone else.

John King

Donations and Sales Manager, responsible for the acquisition of donated collectables sold through sales channels such as Depot Open Weekends. These sales make a significant contribution to Friends’ funds. Please contact John if you have something to donate.

Julian Slawson

Membership Secretary, responsible for leading the membership team who deal with enquiries, maintain membership records, renewals, payments and Gift Aid.

Barry LeJeune

Barry was Friends' Chief Executive until the end of 2022, when he handed over that responsibility to Graham Miller. Barry remains a member of the Friends' Trustee Board. He is Consultant Editor of Friends’ News.

Tony Francis

Tony actively seeks and books speakers for Friends' Meetings. He has a professional and personal interest in public transport, working for LT, National Bus Company, Kent County Council and the DoT. Tony also has a passion for civil aviation.

Jim Jones

Events Administrator, responsible for the smooth running of Meetings and Visits organised by the Friends as well as other ad hoc Friends’ Events. Jim is also an administrator of the Friends’ website.
