MARYLEBONE STATION TOURS

MARYLEBONE STATION TOURS

We have arranged four separate tours of Marylebone station, the London terminus for Chiltern Railways, on two summer evenings on 10th and 24th August 2016.

The tours will commence at 18.00 and 19.30 on both evenings and take about 1 hour and 15 minutes each. In order to have an enjoyable tour in such a busy environment, and to be able to hear our guides’ commentary, we are limiting the size of each party to a maximum of 15. So we are able to accommodate 60 Friends in total over the four tours.

The tour will explain the history of the station; the former GCR hotel and erstwhile BRB Head Offices opposite the station, now again a hotel with some wonderful railway themed historical stained glass windows; and the general development of the station complex from its opening in 1899 to the modern day.

There will be a charge of £5 per person for the tours, which are restricted to members of the London Transport Museum Friends. Please apply to as soon as possible to ensure you have a place on one of the four tours using the booking form in the Spring issue of Friends' News.
