ANOTHER VISIT TO CAMBRIDGESHIRE

Join us for a second visit to the Nene Valley Railway and Cambridge Busway. Here is the itinerary:

09:00   Assemble at St Pancras station (Eurostar entrance in Pancras Road)

10:30   Arrive at the Nene Valley Railway where we have chartered their Swedish State Railways railbus for a conducted tour of the whole line.  Tea, coffee and warm Swedish pastries will be served during the journey. Look out for the amazing ‘Hovertrain’ at Peterborough NVR station (built 1968)

12:00   Return to Wansford station where a 2-course lunch will be served in a Wagon Lits Restaurant car, followed by tea and coffee – there is also a cash bar.

13:30   We rejoin our coach for the short drive to Stagecoach Huntingdon’s Fenstanton depot. Our hosts will tell us all about the operation and during our trip on the Busway point out places of interest. We will also visit the Busway Control Centre at St Ives.

19:00   Arrive back at St Pancras

The cost of £57pp is fully inclusive of travel, refreshments, souvenir ticket and gratuities.
