FRED IVEY RECOLLECTS

FRED IVEY RECOLLECTS

Fred Ivey celebrated his 90th birthday in July. At this special meeting, Fred will be interviewed by Barry Coward on events in his life. We will hear something about Fred's experiences as a Bevin Boy; his 47-year career with London Underground; and his busy retirement as a still-active volunteer with the Museum Friends, Bluebell Railway and Epping Ongar Railway. Throughout his adult life, Fred has been a keen photographer of the transport scene and the conversation will be illustrated by some of his photographs and film.

The meeting will take place in the Cubic Lecture Theatre at London Transport Museum, Covent Garden.

It will start with tea at 1500, followed by Fred's reminiscences at 1530.
