Demand for public transport in London continues to rise. London Underground is planning the modernisation of the Piccadilly, Bakerloo, Piccadilly, Central and Waterloo & City Lines to provide much-needed extra capacity for the 2020s and beyond. This presents a unique opportunity to take a fresh look at railway system design and to harness developments in technology to achieve a truly world class system.

The speaker will present an overview of the ‘New Tube for London’ programme and provide an insight into the design vision, concepts and features being applied to the next generation of deep level tube trains”.
