Buses In World War One

Buses In World War One

Over one thousand London buses - with their drivers - were shipped out to the Flanders battlefields, to serve as troop transport and in many other roles. Military historian, Dr Bill Ward, has researched the use of motor vehicles in World War One, especially London buses, and is the author of the book "Ole Bill" published last year. In this talk, subtitiled "After The Book", he will share his extensive knowledge with the Friends, including information that has recently come to light, especially about the early years of the war.
